Keeping Up With Miles: Balancing Act

Miles was so excited to show his dad what he learned how to do this weekend. And of course Leah wanted to show off some of her skills too.

Conversations with a 3 Year Old

Mom asks Leah if she likes the picture I am drawing of Miles and Daddy. Leah replies, "It is a nice picture, but it would be better with me in it."

After saying the prayer before dinner Leah tells me, "No Mom, it's "all men" not amen."

Maya licks Leah on the hand and Leah tells me, "Mommy, Maya tasted me."

Mom asks Miles to check on Leah in the other room while making dinner. Miles checks on Leah, then comes back and says, "She's OK. She's just playing climb all over everything."

Mom: "Miles, do you like to ride in elevators?"
Miles: "Yes, I like to ride in alligators, and I like to ride on turtles too."

Miles is putting on his jammies after his bath.
Mom: "You forgot to put your undies on."
Miles: "I don't want to wear undies."
Mom: "Are you going to go commando tonight then?"
Miles: "No, I'm going to go downstairs."

Mom is making dinner while Miles plays.
Mom: "I'm making a new creation for dinner tonight."
Miles: "Well, I'm just making a mess."
