(and doing my best to keep up with Leah)

On the road again

We have been on the road yet again.  After a two week trip to Utah in June we ended up returning for another week in July.  One of the things Miles asked to do during one of our recent trips, was to go to the Air Force Museum.  He has been to the museum a few times before, but each time we go he is a little more interested in the planes and helicopters and has more and more questions about them.  Thankfully, Grandpa B was along for this trip to help answer questions, because the questions are getting a little harder for mom to answer these days.  Miles loves the helicopters with 2 rotors so he asked to have his picture taken with this one.

He was a good helper and pushed the stroller around the museum with Leah.  I think he only ran over my feet once or twice.

We also took a trip on the train downtown to play in the fountains.  Here they are waiting for the train to arrive at the station.

Miles really enjoyed running through the fountains this year, but Leah wasn't so sure about it.  This was probably the only time she actually ran through the middle, the rest of the time she preferred to just dip her toes in.

Leah and Grandpa took advantage of some down time to do a few puzzles.

Miles enjoyed running through the sprinklers in the backyard.

Grandpa made this little boat for the kids to play with.  They really enjoyed winding it up and sending it back and forth across the pond to each other.

Everyone loved to hang out on the swing in the evening when it was nice and cool.

Miles took this picture of me and Leah.  He loves to take pictures with my camera these days.  The angle is a little odd, but I thought he did a good job.

Miles decided he was tired during the fireworks show on the 4th of July.  When this kid says he's ready for bed, he means it.  It doesn't matter whether the fireworks show is over or not.

We drove past several fires on our way to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  This was the largest one, it burned over 100,000 acres.  It looked like this whole mountain range was on fire.  Thankfully on our way back home it was raining, so hopefully that helped the firefighters get it under control.  It is sad to see so much land being burned.
