There wasn't much snow on the lawn, but she managed to put together this cute little snowman all by herself. He was so cute that we decided he needed a face, and then Leah wanted him to have a hat, a scarf, and arms.
We were both sad to see him quickly melt away that afternoon. Now Leah is impatiently waiting for another storm so she can make another one.
They rode on this little train too.
Then Miles had Grandparents and Special Friends Day at school. Grandma B flew down for a long weekend with us and joined him for a morning at school for even more fun art projects.
Leah was excited that she got to go too.
With all these projects hanging up, our house is definitely showing our fall spirit. We also enjoyed some shopping and lunches out with Grandma while she was here. We were sad to have to put Grandma back on the plane so soon, but enjoyed being able to visit with her for a few days.
Last weekend the weather was beautiful so we decided to go up in the mountains for a hike. We took the dogs along so they could enjoy a nice run too. Ivy decided to go for a swim at 9000 feet. I think once she realized how cold that water was she decided one swim was enough, because she didn't get back in again.
The kids enjoyed exploring a new trail with us and there wasn't even any complaining.
We are hoping for a couple more weekends of nice weather before we have to face another cold winter.
