Moving Day

Moving Day! The kids posed for one last picture in front of the house before we packed it all up and headed south. So far they don't seem to miss it too much. They are enjoying our stay here at the "green hot tub house" and they like looking at all the "new" houses with us. We haven't found the right one yet, but are hoping it will come along soon!

This gorgeous sunset over downtown taunted us as we got ready to leave.

We headed to my parents' house after we finished packing up to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. Everyone was there except my brother Brett and his family. The kids really enjoyed having some time with their cousins. Mallory and Leah were little partners in crime. They enjoyed getting into trouble together. They also enjoyed snuggling with Grandpa B.

The boys all had lots of fun together too.

Blowing kisses with Grandpa.

We made these little pilgrim hats out of chocolate treats. Leah helped by unwrapping all the peanut butter cups. Then she helped out by setting one on each plate.

And when she thought no one was looking, she helped eat a few off the plates too.

But who can get mad at this cute little face? Not her Grandma, that's for sure.

We had a great time and a great dinner, and everyone was worn out by the end of the day.

Even Great Grams came to Thanksgiving dinner. 92 years old and still going strong.

Then it was time to head home. We stopped at the Glen Canyon Dam on our way. Leah said, "I don't like that bridge." Miles thought it was "pretty cool."

We have been here for almost a month now. We are finally starting to get settled in. Miles started school this week and he is enjoying it so far. We had to get him a lunchbox since all the kids eat their lunch at school. We had to search high and low at Target to find a lunchbox this time of year, but luckily we found one, and it just happened to be Star Wars. Now I just have to figure out what I can pack him in a lunch that he will actually eat, since they aren't allowed to have peanut butter at school.

We found a gym here for the kids to take classes at and they will start those next week. They also have open gym time twice a week where the kids can go to run off some energy indoors. We played there today since it was snowing. The weather has been really nice up until now so we have checked out a few parks too.

Glad you are starting to get settled. I am sure your mom's house was a bit crazy for Thanksgiving, but that is what it is all about, right!
