Summer Fun

The kids and I decided to take a trip to my parent's house for a few weeks in June.  It was nice to have a trip where we weren't rushed to try and see everyone and do all the things we wanted to and just relax and enjoy ourselves.  My niece, Rebecca, was in town from Minneapolis visiting her boyfriend for a few days so they met us at the dinosaur park one afternoon before she had to head back home.  The kids enjoyed digging up dinosaur bones with Becca and Alex and seeing all the big dinosaurs hidden around the park.  

 

 

 We also took some time to visit the zoo with Leslie, Isaac, Sarah and Katie.  They finally opened the new polar bear exhibit at the zoo and it was fun to see the finished project since we have watched all the construction the last few years.  They also had some new grizzly bears which seemed very friendly.  The kids were all happy to see each other again.  Miles wanted to know if Isaac could be his brother since he doesn't have one.  Leah said that Sarah is her best friend.  I was excited to finally meet baby Katie!  She is growing fast and such a cutie. 

 The kids enjoyed hanging out in a backyard with grass again.  They loved swinging on Grandma and Grandpa's swing and feeding the fish each evening.  They also made sure they got to go in the hot tub each night.
