Chugging Along

While we were visiting Grandma and Grandpa B in June, we also took another trip to the train museum.  This is one of Miles' favorite things to do when we go to Utah.  Leah wanted to go along too, so we all decided to climb aboard for an afternoon of trains.  We started off with a ride there on Frontrunner.

They also have a car museum in the building and the kids got to see Doc from the movie Cars while we were there.
I think Miles always has his picture taken in front of these wheels when he goes to the museum.  Some day I will have to put them all side by side to see how he has grown.

We had to take a picture in front of the Rio Grande engine in honor of my Grandpap.
This engine has a smiley face.
We took advantage of the hot weather while we were there and spent some time playing in the water.  The kids enjoyed visiting the splash park with Isaac, Sarah, and Katie a few times.

We also set up the slip and slide in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard and let the kids play.  They had lots of fun.

Leah couldn't quite figure out how to slide, she would run all the way to the end and then plop down in the splash pool.

Poor Katie had to sit this one out since she had big boo boos on her hands and feet.  She was a good sport though and was full of smiles.
Of course there were lots of bedtime stories with Grandma while we were there.
We made it home just in time for Father's Day.  The kids were happy to see their dad and tell him all about their adventures in Utah.
