(and doing my best to keep up with Leah)

Wow!

We ventured up to my mom and dad's this weekend to watch the air show. On Saturday Clay had to work, so Miles and I drove up there to hang out with my brother and his family and get out of the house for the day. We watched everything from my parent's yard on Saturday since we didn't want to fight the traffic and we actually had some great views of all the planes. Miles really seemed to enjoy watching the planes as well. On Sunday, we woke up to pouring rain. We decided to head up there again anyway and figured that we could just hang out in the house if the weather didn't improve. The planes started flying around 1, and we watched them from the yard. By 3, things seemed to be nice and we decided to try and drive to the base to see if we could find a spot there to watch the Thunderbirds. We were able to drive right on base and park without any problems. Miles and Clay walked around and looked at a few of the planes and we took our time and found a nice spot to watch the show. The show was really neat and we were really enjoying it when it started pouring rain right in the middle of it. Everyone started running for cover. I looked at Clay and my mom and said, "We're already soaked, we might as well just stay." If we had left then, we would just be sitting in the car for an hour fighting traffic off the base anyway. But then it started hailing. That was a little uncomfortable. It was over in just 2-3 minutes though and then the sun came out almost immediately and it warmed right back up. We decided to hang out for a few more minutes and they came on the speaker and announced that they would resume the show if the weather held. At that point, we were able to walk right up to the runway and grab some great front row seats. The show started up about 10 minutes later and it was totally worth it. Miles even got to wave to the pilots when they landed at the end of the show. By the time we left the show, so many people had already left during the rainstorm that we were home in 5 minutes. Can't beat that! We got some great pictures of the Thunderbirds too.

Went to the doctor today for my almost 36 week check. We decided to schedule this baby for July 2nd. We'll see if she cooperates or decides to pull a Miles and arrive a day early. Either way, only 3 1/2 weeks to go! Not that I'm counting or anything. I'll probably be in the hospital for the 4th of July, but maybe baby Leah and I will be able to watch the stadium fireworks from my window.
