Just Keep Swimming

A few weeks ago we had some visitors at our house.  Clay's brother, Clint, and his son, Clint came out to visit us for a few days.  Their girlfriends, Jackie and Danielle, came out with them.  While they were here we fired up the grill and the fire pit and enjoyed a nice evening outside.
The kids were excited for s'mores.
Then we went down to Jackie's place in Gold Canyon for the weekend to hang out with them a few more days before they had to head home.  They had a nice pool at their place and the kids wanted to hang out in the pool all day.  The water was as warm as a bathtub.  It was fun to hang out in the water without getting cold at all.
The kids loved the waterfall that was part of the pool.  They loved climbing on top of it and hiding under it.

Leah was really excited to try jumping off the waterfall.  She wasn't too sure about jumping into the water though.  We started off by letting her jump onto these mats.  She thought that was great!

Clint and Danielle weren't afraid to jump right in.
We did get the kids out of the pool long enough to take a ride on their quads in the desert.  It was hot though!

We also saw some huge cactus.
After we finally talked Miles into trying out Leah's snorkel mask, he finally decided that putting your face in the water isn't so bad.  The next thing we knew, he was doing cannonballs into the pool.
Cousins!  Just missing one, hopefully Kylee can come out for the next visit.
Leah finally decided to jump off the waterfall into the water.
 Brothers.
Here are some videos of the kids swimming.  This one is great because we are excited just to see Miles jumping into the water, and then he totally surprises us by doing a cannonball.
Then we got Leah jumping off the waterfall.  This was the first time she did it without me "catching" her.
We had a nice visit with all of them and we were sad to see the weekend come to an end.  Hopefully we can make a trip out to see everyone again soon.

Since then, we have been swimming more with the kids at the pool here.  Miles and Leah have really enjoyed being in the water this summer and they have both made great progress.  They are almost swimming on their own now.  Miles even learned to do somersaults under water.  He was so excited when he finally figured out how to do a backwards somersault.
Leah has enjoyed getting some air and loves to snorkel all over the pool.
